The entire company is called for a routine results presentation when suddenly the CEO changes his mind and puts on an 80’s hairstyle wig, grabs an electric guitar and starts playing classic rock 80’s songs for an opening act to a never before seen rock concert. The facilitators (which are in fact the rockstars of the show) split into teams and invite the company’s workforce to participante in a Great Rock Band Contest with live musicians.
Most participants had the opportunity to work together in a fun environment with the coworkers they usually never have interaction with.
Four World Corporate managers were part of the “undercover” activity. This modeled closeness, presence, leadership and outstanding commitment for participants.
The company’s emplomes developed the lyrics of the songs played in the contest. All lyrics aimed to showcase the company’s golas and identity.
Leadership, teamwork, humanismo (The key message that Medtronic presented with this specific activity was how much they care and are commited to their emplomes.
Employees competed to be named the “rock band” to represent Medtronic. The same acitity as well as the 4 previous objetives, promoted a sense of ownership to the company.
